The bench press, wherever you go, no matter which part of the world you’re in people will know it.

Having a big bench press is not only good for the ego but also a great way to build a large and impressive upper body.

It builds your chest, shoulder, and triceps and is one of those must-do compound exercises to build MASS.

However, to some, even just bench pressing 220lbs for reps is a daunting idea.

With that in mind, I would like to give you 5 small tricks to build a HUGE bench.

Huge Bench Trick #1 Do Your Dips!

Dips, or as I like to call them the upper body squat is one of those bench press accessory moves that you CANNOT afford to skip.

Dips utilize even more muscles than the bench press and go a long way to developing pressing power.

Perform both the chest and the triceps variants and watch your bench press increase in no time at all.

This is because they utilize all the muscles you use when you are bench pressing, and then some, causing overall muscle and strength gain which spills over to your bench press.

Huge Bench Trick #2 Do Accessory Movements

Dips are one accessory movement we were talking about, but there are tons more.

Weak triceps oftentimes become the weak link in the chain and limit the maximum amount of weight you can push.

Strengthen your triceps by focusing on some heavy pressing movements, pushdowns, etc.

The same goes for shoulders if they are the limiting factor perform heavy overhead presses and the like to build your front deltoid strength.

If your pectorals are the issue then focus on strict dumbbell presses or machine presses and go HEAVY.

Huge Bench Trick #3 Gain some SIZE

The old mantra that weight moves weight is very true.

And if you would like to get a bigger bench then gain some more muscle and size!

This will allow you to far easier push heavier weights.

Huge Bench Trick #4 Increase Training Frequency

Want to bench more weight?

Then bench more often! Incorporate more benching in your current program in order to build more strength and size.

Remember do not make both days heavy days, instead, one day focus on strength and the other focus on form and volume.

If you increase the volume in one session and the weight in the other (allowing for deload so you don’t overtrain) then you will not only get stronger but BIGGER!

A big bench requires several important factors.
